RAISED FROM CHICKS...

These are the only animals that we bring onto the farm, we buy in organic day-old chicks from a trusted organic farm local to us.

We have a strain of Hubbards that have been bred specifically for slow growing organic systems.

ON THE FARM...

The chicks (which are completely adorable and a big hit with our kids, it must be said) are kept under heat for three weeks and then, once big enough, they are allowed to roam the pastures and behave as nature intended.

We keep our birds for over 84 days which is much more than double the age of a supermarket bird.

This age and slow rearing produces bigger birds that are full of flavour and have a good level of fat covering for tender, juicier meat.
